In the Saiyara mood today. A song I really like. The lyrics go: “I am a wandering star. You are a wandering star. We will meet in the world of stars, o beloved.”

Meetings beyond this world gets me thinking of Islamic theology where souls submitted to the Creator in Alam e Arwah before being sent to earth in physical form.

It is said that the affinity we feel towards new people might be sourced in this prior meeting.

I feel resonance with many people in the communities I am a part of. I wonder about the lifemate. The affinity and natural resonance with this person is likely to be quite high.

We think we choose our spouses. I feel it is God who allows the paths of two people to intersect, then place love in those hearts for each other. The choice is  a natural consequence of this magic.

These two spirits are a source of light for each other on the purification journey.

What is the Maker’s plan for me? I don’t know yet. My job is to pray and make efforts and pay attention to my intution. And I am doing all of that.

I love the idea of prayer. Destiny is pre written, yes, in the sense God knows what is to happen. Yet none of us know that final plan for us. And – prayer can change God’s plans according to our inclination. There maybe one path crafted for you, if you choose not to pray. And there may be another revised path, if you chose to pray. I never forget this super wisdom.

Ending this note on a prayer feels logical then:

“O dear Allah, Indeed the world is as dark as the night sky, and I trust your love to make me a star, and give me a companion star (a lover/ husband) and allow us to service Your cause together in the most shining way.”
